WHAT YOU NEED TO NOW ABOUT THIS WEB SITE
- Do you need help in navigating this site and other Websites? Nothing new, most of us do.
- We will assist you with your mouse, keyboard and browser application, as well as proceedures for navigating Our Network Web Sites. You may also Page Norma's Webmaster for information and assistance.
- We will attempt to answer many of the questions you had in mind plus ones you haven't thought of yet.
- Use of the PC, or Personal Computer will be our primary target. We will include material about using a Macintosh at a later date. The Personal Computers are the ones that use Microsoft Windows 95; 98 as their operating systems.
- Our 1st lesson will concern use of the key board. Click on the big page with your left mouse key then use the down arrow key on the key board, so that we can see more of this page. Use the up arrow key to travel to the top of the page again.
- Our 2nd lesson will concern use of the mouse. Move the mouse over each of the buttons on the menu to your left. Notice that Instructions appear under the mouse pointer as you touch each button. Next find the yellow back button under sentence number 1, on the big page and click on it, using the left mouse key. Be sure to click on the blue button, with a picture of a computer, once you arrive at your destination; so that you return to this same page once again. You will notice the yellow back on other pages as you navigate.
- The left mouse key is for pointing and clicking. The right mouse key is used to call menus. Once the menu appears you make a choice by clicking the left mouse button.
- Now try using the right mouse menu button, then click on the menu "properties" selection with the left button. To remove the properties dialogue box click cancel with the left mouse key.
- We need learn to work with the "COLOR BOX". We can not do any shopping without it.
- Click on the "COLOR BOX BUTTON" in your menu. A "RED BOX" appears. Read the instructions inside the "RED BOX" before clicking on any buttons inside the red/brown box.
- If you click on the first button at the top in the red/brown box a "BLUE BOX" will appear. The "BLUE BOX" contains all of the colors. The last button in the red/brown box closes the red/brown box. Press that button.
- Click inside the "BLUE BOX" with your mouse then use the arrows on your key board to move around inside the box.
- If you lose the "BLUE BOX" press the ALT and TAB keys in succession and order as given. Holding both keys down as you make your selection of screens.
